5-DAY SKI ADVENTURE IN THE HEART OF THE YUKON

What you need to know:

* This tour is designed for an average cross-country skier but participants need to be in good physical condition. Participants should be able to ski for several hours at an easy pace, have a sense of adventure and be prepared for cold weather and nights spent in an winter Tent with a wood stove.

* The trip into Lobo Lake is guided by Doug Hannah and Yasmine. Doug is an experienced outdoor's man with over 25 years experience guiding ski tours and dog sled tours into Canada's wilderness. Your personal items will be loaded on a small sled and pulled by one of our huskies. The day trips off our Farm can be guided or self-guided according to your preferance and level of confort.

* Participants need to rent a car in Whitehorse and drive it to Faro, where the program starts. We can help you with the rental arrangment as we benefit from special rates for our guests.

SCHEDULE:

Day 1: arrival in Whitehorse, rental of the car, night in Whitehorse. In case of an early arrival in Whitehorse, participants may choose to drive to Faro the same day.

Day 2: Drive to Lynx Track Farm 15km outside the Town of Faro (380 km - about 5 hours in the winter). Explore part of our ski trails in the Pelly River valley. Dinner at the Farm, night at the Wall Tent guest cabin.

Day 3: Ski on our trails in the Valley (about 20 km). Meals at the Farm, night at the Wall Tent guest cabin.

Day 4: Drive to the trailhead (about 1 hour) and ski to our camp on Lobo Lake (about 25 km). Night and meals at our tent camp.

Day 5: Ski on Lobo Lake. Night and meals at our tent camp

Day 6: Ski out. Drive back to Faro. Dinner and night in a B&B in Faro or -if on a tight schedule- drive back to Whitehorse.

Day 7: Drive back to Whitehorse, return rental vehicle.

Price p/p: 840.00 can$

Included: experienced guide, dogs and sleds, all meals upon arrival in Faro, accomodation at the Farm and at the Lobo Lake wilderness camp.

Not included: ski, footwear and clothing. Accomodation and meals in Whitehorse and in Faro (the last night before return to Whitehorse), transportation from and to Whitehorse.
